Our Story
About Us
Learn about the Saineha High School Alumni Worldwide Network — who we are, how we're governed, and the people who lead our mission.
The Saineha High School Alumni Worldwide Network is an independent, alumni-led nonprofit organization registered in the state of Utah, USA. We operate entirely separately from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which owns and operates Saineha High School. Our programs, governance, finances, and decisions are managed solely by alumni volunteers. We have no formal relationship with the Church and do not represent or speak on its behalf.
History
Our History
The Saineha High School Alumni Worldwide Network was founded by graduates of Saineha High School, located on the Island of Vava'u in the Kingdom of Tonga. Saineha High School is owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our alumni network is a separate, independent organization — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Church.
Alumni from the Classes of 1989 to 1992 came together with a shared purpose: to give back to the school that shaped their lives and to support the students who walk its halls today. What began as informal gatherings among Tongan diaspora communities in Utah grew into a formally registered nonprofit organization with chapters spanning four countries.
Today, the network channels alumni contributions into two core programs — tuition assistance and school supplies — sending funds and materials directly to Saineha High School in Tonga.
